This year’s Eurasian Economic Forum cancelled – EEC

This year’s Eurasian Economic Forum, which was planned for 2020 in Minsk, has been canceled, assistant to the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina told reporters on November 25, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The EEC Council considered the event on Monday. Given the epidemiological situation, it decided not to hold the Forum in December 2020,” she said. </p> <p> </p> <p> She said in early October that Belarus proposed to hold the Eurasian Economic Forum in the second half of December in Minsk. Armenia and Kyrgyzstan seconded the proposal. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Eurasian Economic Union has been functioning since January 1, 2015. It unites Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
