Russian watchdog bans import of products by Belarus’ Slootsk Cheese Factory

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has banned import of products made by Slootsk Cheese Factory (Belarus) into the Russian Federation from March 20, 2021, the Russian watchdog said in a press release. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The ban is associated with the repeated detection of E. coli bacteria in the cheese, produced by the company,” reads the report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Slootsk Cheese Factory has been operating since May 1935. The state share in the authorized fund is 83.2414%. The company includes the core enterprise based in Slootsk and branches in Kletsk, Soligorsk, Kopyl and Luban.
