Russia’s govt approves draft agreement on transshipment of Belarus’ oil products in Russia’s ports

The Russian government has approved a draft agreement with Belarus on the transportation and handling of Belarusian oil products for their export to third countries through the seaports of the Russian Federation. The directive has been posted on the Russian portal of legal information. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the draft agreement, Russian ports have capacities to transship up to 2 million tonnes of Belarusian oil products in 2021. The directive is in effect until December 31, 2023, and can be automatically extended after the expiration date. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus reduced the export of oil products in January-November 2020 by 23.3% year on year to 7.38 million tonnes. The export decreased by 11.7% year on year in 2019 to 10.5 million tonnes. End </p>
