Russia lifts all restrictions on air travel with Belarus from Sep 21

Russia has lifted all COVID-related restrictions on air travel with Belarus from September 21, Prime reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Russian Federation partially resumed air links with Belarus on 21 September 2020. Now air links between the countries are being restored in full. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belavia has already announced that it is increasing the number of flights to Russian cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg. In late May, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov said that Belavia, amid restrictions on its flights adopted by a number of European countries after the Ryanair incident, would change its business model, in particular, develop flights to the CIS, including Russia. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on 9 September that air links between Russia and Belarus would be fully restored shortly. Before the coronavirus restrictions were introduced, there were 201 flights per week between Belarus and Russia. End </p>
