Polish Prosecutor General orders criminal investigation into forced landing of Ryanair plane in Minsk

The Prosecutor General of Poland has ordered to initiate a criminal inquiry into the forced landing of a Ryanair plane in Minsk, the official representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Poland, Lukasz Lapczynski, told reporters. </p> <p> </p> <p> Earlier it was reported that the plane, which had landed in Minsk, belonged to the Polish-registered subsidiary of the low-cost carrier Ryanair. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Lapczynski, the proceedings will concern "the use of deception and threat to seize control of the aircraft and deprivation of liberty of its passengers. The acts in question are those under Art. 166 par. 1 and Art. 189 par. 1 of the Polish Criminal Code. End </p> <p> </p>
