NBB defines requirements for operators of online lending services
<p> MINSK, Nov 25 - PrimePress. The National Bank of Belarus (NBB) has defined the requirements for the operators of online lending services (resolution #310 of 26 October 2021). </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution approves the Guidelines for Requirements for Online Borrowing Service and Online Borrowing Service Regulations. Its norms are aimed at protecting the rights of consumers of online borrowing services, including by informing service clients about the list of services provided by the service operator on the basis of the agreement, the procedure for making payments under the agreement, the amount of payments in the event of violating the terms of service, the procedure for pre-trial dispute settlement, the procedure for determining the operator’s remuneration. </p> <p> </p> <p> The document provides information on the requirements for clients’ hardware and software: hardware and information security features when using the service </p> <p> </p> <p> The document says that the service provider must identify its customers (individuals and companies). </p> <p> </p> <p> The operator’s remuneration shall not exceed 10% of the loan.
