National Bank to change procedure for setting official rates of Belarusian ruble from July 9 - resolution

Starting 9 July 2021, the National Bank of Belarus (NBB) will introduce technical changes into the procedure for setting the official exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble against foreign currencies. In particular, it will change the effective date of the official rate, stop the establishment and updating of lists of freely convertible and limited convertibility currencies. This is fixed by NBB Resolution #176 of June 22, 2021 "On the establishment of the official exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble against foreign currencies," the NBB Information and Public Relations Department said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> The regulator says the decision was adopted in the framework of the implementation of the provisions of the new edition of the Banking Code of Belarus.
