National Bank of Belarus to close regional hubs on 1 March 2022 – ordinance

The National Bank of Belarus (NBB) will close its regional head offices starting from 1 March 2022, in accordance with presidential ordinance #392 of 15 October 2021, said President Lukashenko’s press service. </p> <p> </p> <p> The report says that this measure was taken to “further optimize the structure of the National Bank and its staff size” and is due to “a significant reduction in the functions exercised by the main departments of the bank”. </p> <p> </p> <p> Currently, there are five regional head offices of the National Bank in Brest Oblast, Vitebsk Oblast, Gomel Oblast, Grodno Oblast and Mogilev Oblast.
