Mozyr refinery due to perform start-up works at H-Oil facility in spring

The Mozyr NPZ oil refinery (Gomel Oblast) is planning on performing start-up operations at the hydrogen production unit of the H-Oil complex as part of construction of the heavy oil residue hydrocracking complex at compressor station #4, the refinery’s press-service said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> The construction and installation works in the main and auxiliary buildings are nearing completion - the electrical, instrumentation and control system is being connected and adjusted, the ventilation systems are being installed and adjusted, and the finishing works are being carried out. Two air separation units for the production of low-pressure nitrogen have already been installed in the machinery room of the nitrogen plant and in air compressor room #4. All process piping and tank equipment which is installed around the station building and the air compressor room have also been tested for leaks. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, the H-Oil facility is a key project in the Mozyr-based oil refinery’s upgrade programme. The project will enable Mozyr NPZ to push the oil conversion ratio to 88-90% from 70-75% at the moment, increase the output of light products from 55% to 66%. </p> <p> </p> <p> The refinery was established in 1975 and transformed into a joint-stock company in 1994, with a 42.757% stake currently owned by the state.
