MAZ, Russia’s Hella plan to set up joint venture to produce batteries for electric vehicles

Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) and Hella LLC (Russia, a subsidiary of Germany’s HELLA Group) have signed a roadmap for further cooperation defining the steps for joint production of energy storage systems for MAZ electric transport vehicles, the MAZ press-service said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> MAZ and Hella have a long-standing partnership. The German company supplies electrical equipment and batteries for Minsk Automobile Plant’s newest product – the MAZ 303E10 series electric buses. The first batch of 10 buses has been recently dispatched to transport companies in Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. - is a German manufacturer of automotive parts headquartered in Lippstadt, Germany.
