Lukashenko, Putin discuss energy prices, access of Belarusian goods to Russian markets

In a telephone conversation on July 1 Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed energy prices and access of Belarusian goods to Russian markets, Lukashenko’s press-service reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> The presidents discussed in detail the resumption of transport service between Belarus and Russia. The heads of state noted that passenger air and rail service has already resumed, and there are no problems with freight transportation. The only issue to be yet resolved is the lifting of the restrictions on the movement of citizens across the Belarusian-Russian land border. Launch of more Belavia flights to Russia is being discussed, too. </p> <p> </p> <p> Putin and Lukashenko agreed that governments and appropriate ministries will work on the issue. The outbreak of the pandemic in Russia has its imprint on this work. But it will be continued. Particular attention will be paid to the increase in the frequency of flights to the south of Russia: to Sochi, Krasnodar and Anapa. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the press-service, Lukashenko and Putin also agreed on the upcoming face-to-face meetings.
