Lukashenko and Putin to discuss major Belarusian-Russian projects, integration progress on Feb 22

Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will discuss major joint projects in trade, economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres and the development of integration on 22 February 2021 in Sochi, says a report by the Russian president’s press service. </p> <p> </p> <p> “It is planned that the leaders of the two countries will discuss in detail a wide range of issues related to the development of Belarusian-Russian relations, joint response to emerging challenges, including in the military security sphere, and interaction in integration organizations." In addition, Lukashenko and Putin will exchange views "on issues on the international agenda.” End </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported with reference to Russian mass media, Lukashenko is going to ask Putin for $3-3.5 billion from the unused part of the Russian $10 billion state loan for the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant (Astravyets District, Grodno Oblast).
