Law: Belarus’ individual entrepreneurs may count on guaranteed compensation for bank deposits in the amount of up to Br100,000
<p> MINSK, Nov 15 - PrimePress. Belarus will introduce a guaranteed compensation for bank deposits placed by individual entrepreneurs in the amount of up to Br100,000 ($40,798 at the rate of National Bank of Belarus), in accordance with Law #128-Z “On Amendments to the Law on Guaranteed Reimbursement of Bank Deposits” of 11 November 2021, published on the National Legal Internet Portal on November 13. </p> <p> </p> <p> The National Bank’s commentary says the new law will become effective on 1 Apr 2022. </p> <p> </p> <p> For individuals (as opposed to individual entrepreneurs), who put money on bank deposits, the current approach remains in force - a guaranteed full refund of the deposit money.
