Inflation in Belarus at 0.7% in Jun 2021, 5.8% in Jan-Jun
MINSK, Jul 9 - PrimePress. Inflation in Belarus was at 0.7% in June 2021, which adds up to 5.8% in January-June 2021. Prices rose by 9.9% year on year in Jun 2021; up 8.8% yoy in Jan-Jun 2021, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat) said in a report.<br> <br> As previously reported, inflation in Belarus was at 1.1% in January 2021, 1.9% in Feb, 0.7% in Mar, 0.7% in Apr, 0.6% in May.<br> <br> According to Belstat, food prices increased by 0.5% month on month in Jun 2021 and by 6% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Food prices increased by 9.1% year on year in Jun 2021 and by 7.9% year on year in Jan-Jun 2021. <br> <br> Non-food prices increased by 0.7% month on month in Jun 2021 and by 6.3% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Non-food prices increased by 11.6% year on year in Jun 2021 and by 10% year on year in Jan-Jun 2021. <br> <br> Prices and tariffs on for-fee services increased by 0.9% month on month in Jun 2021; up 5.1% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Prices and tariffs on for-fee services increased by 9.3% year on year in Jun 2021 and by 8.7% year on year in Jan-Jun 2021. <br> <br> As previously reported, inflation in Belarus was at 7.4% in 2020, the official forecast being 5%.
