Grodno Azot continues cooperation with Italy’s Tecnimont S.p.A. to build new nitrogen plant
<p> MINSK, Jun 4 - PrimePress. Grodno Azot continues cooperation with Italy’s Tecnimont S.p.A. within the framework of the project to build a new nitrogen plant, Grodno Azot CEO Igor Lyashenko said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> “At present we are working with Italian Tecnimont S.p.A. on this project (construction of the nitrogen complex – editor’s note). The project will be implemented on a turn-key basis, which implies that the general contractor will perform the whole range of works, from designing to commissioning the facility,” said Lyashenko in an interview with the Belneftekhim Bulletin magazine. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Alexander Lukashenko said on 2 March 2021 that Belarus was interested in the financial participation of Russia’s Gazprom in the upgrade of Grodno Azot. According to Lukashenko’s press service, during the talks between Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 22, 2021 in Sochi, the only proposal of the Belarusian side in the financial sector also concerned the possible participation of Gazprom in the modernization of Grodno Azot.
