The net profit of Gazprom Transgaz Belarus grew by 11.9% year on year in 2020 to Br508.5 million ($193.625 million at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), reads the company’s annual report posted on its official website. </p> <p> </p> <p> The company’s sales proceeds increased in 2020 by 10.5% year on year to Br7.58 billion ($2.886 billion); operating expenses increased by 7.5% to Br6.64 billion ($2.528 billion), operating profit decreased by 37% to Br940 million ($357.931 million). Profit before tax decreased by 6.8% to Br608.6 million ($231.741 million). </p> <p> </p> <p> The Belarusian gas transport system operated by Gazprom Transgaz Belarus comprises over 7,900 km (4,890 miles) of gas pipelines, 13 compressor stations, 3 underground gas storage facilities, 226 gas distribution stations, 27 automobile gas-filling compressor stations and 7 gas metering stations. </p> <p> </p> <p> Gazprom Transgaz Belarus also operates a 575-km Belarusian segment of Gazprom’s Yamal-Europe gas main with 5 compressor stations.
