Direct gas supplies via the Yamal-Europe pipeline to Germany reduced by more than one third on the morning of 11 Nov 2021 to about 700,000 cubic metres per hour, according to the information of the European gas transmission operator Gascade. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, direct gas supplies via the Yamal-Europe pipeline to Germany resumed on Thursday afternoon after five days of shutdown and reverse in the opposite direction. </p> <p> </p> <p> The direct pumping of gas to Europe via the Yamal-Europe pipeline stopped on the morning of Saturday, October 30. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Russia’s Gazprom will significantly reduce gas transportation through Belarus in 2021, as follows from the published contract with Gazprom Transgaz Belarus for gas transit through the Yamal-Europe pipeline. The cut in supplies will fall on the last quarter, when the new gas year starts. According to the document, the target for Gazprom Transgaz Belarus to transport gas to Western Europe for 2021 is 29.574 billion cubic metres, including 9.626 bcm in Q1, 9.183 bcm in Q2; 8.842 bcm in Q3; 1.923 bcm in Q4. </p> <p> </p> <p> Gazprom Transgaz Belarus also operates a 575-km Belarusian segment of Gazprom’s Yamal-Europe gas main with 5 compressor stations. Gazprom Transgaz Belarus is headquartered in Minsk. </p> <p> </p> <p> Trunk gas pipelines running across Belarus pump Russian natural gas to the country’s westernmost region of Kaliningrad and further to Lithuania, Ukraine and Poland. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Yamal-Europe transnational gas pipeline stretches over the territory of Russia, Belarus, Poland, and Germany.
