Ganja Automobile Plant plans to assemble over 1,200 MTZ tractors in 2021

Ganja Automobile Plant (Azerbaijan) plans to assemble over 1,200 MTZ tractors in 2021, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov told journalists on April 13. </p> <p> </p> <p> ”In 2021, 275 MTZ tractor kits have been purchased, they are in the process of assembling. A contract for 450 tractor kits was signed in March. And now we are planning to sign a contract for 550 tractor kits. In total, this is 1,275 tractor kits a year. In principle, it is a pretty decent amount,” the Belarusian government’s mouthpiece BelTA news agency quoted Ravkov as saying. </p> <p> </p> <p> Since 2007, Ganja Automobile Plant has assembled more than 11,500 Belarusian tractors, as well as about 3,500 units of equipment designed by MAZ, AMKODOR, Belkommunmash and Gomselmash. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ravkov informed that the parties are also going to restore the production of other Belarusian equipment. The idea to sell jointly assembled machinery on the Turkish market is under consideration. </p> <p> </p> <p> Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) was founded in 1946. It is the largest tractor plant in the former USSR and one of the largest tractor-making enterprises in the world. </p> <p> </p> <p> MTZ Production Association is one the world’s largest tractor producers.
