EU considers possibility of restricting exports from Belarus - Lithuanian Foreign Ministry

The European Union (EU) is considering the possibility of restricting exports from Belarus, in particular, the export of oil products and fertilizers, as well as a possible ban on the import of technology </p> <p> </p> <p> Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mantas Adomenas made a statement to this effect on the air of the radio “Echo of Moscow”, while commenting on the consequences of the Ryanair incident. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The list of sanctions will be supplemented, there will be new packages, there will be restrictions on all kinds of exports. (...) I can't announce the whole list of packages, but there both persons and businesses,” Adomenas said. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Oil products, maybe fertilizers, machinery and tractor products (will fall under the ban for deliveries to the EU – editor’s note), we are also talking about the technology that comes to Belarus from Europe, their limitation, and financial mechanisms,” he added. </p> <p> </p> <p> In his words, the Belarusian authorities have crossed the red line with the plane seizure.
