Providing the population with food is one of the most pressing issues, they say. Therefore, today extremely important to find ways to preserve the agricultural and industrial sectors of our countries today, while taking all measures to protect the people,” said Lukashenko. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the president, long-lasting quarantine measures and self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic have shown that “even superpowers do not have safety cushions to prevent their national economies from recession when borders are shut and enterprises stand idle.” </p> <p> </p> <p> Lukashenko said earlier that EEU needs to make timely decisions to ensure food security after the pandemic.
