EEU reports 1.1% increase in consumer prices in Oct 2021
<p> MINSK, Nov 17 - PrimePress. Consumer prices increased by 1.1% on average month on month in October 2021 in member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia), according to the Statistics Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). </p> <p> </p> <p> “The consumer price index for goods and services in October 2021 on average in the Eurasian Economic Union rose by 1.1% month on month and 6.7% year to date,” reads the EEC report. </p> <p> </p> <p> There was a significant increase in prices of foodstuffs (by 7.9%) and non-food products (by 7.2%). Prices for paid services increased by 4.1% during this period. </p> <p> </p> <p> At the same time the year-to-date increase in food prices in October 2021 was higher than the EEU’s average (9.6%), Belarus (9.3%) and Kazakhstan (8.2%). The largest increase in prices for non-food price was recorded in Belarus (9.1%) and Kyrgyzstan (8.2%); for paid services - in Belarus (6.3%) and Kazakhstan (5.6%). End </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
