EEU foreign trade with third countries rises to $672bn in Jan-Oct 2021
<p> MINSK, Dec 16 - PrimePress. The volume of foreign trade of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia) with countries outside the EEU grew by 33.5% year on year in January-October 2021 to more than $672 billion, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-October 2021, exports increased by almost 41% and imports by 23%. </p> <p> </p> <p> The foreign trade surplus in goods in January-October 2021 was $157.7bn compared to $85.5bn in January-October 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of goods to countries outside the EEU grew by 47.5%, Russia by 43.8%, Kazakhstan by 21.9% and Armenia by 13.7%. </p> <p> </p> <p> Imports of goods from outside the EEU increased in January-October 2021 due to an increase in imports of goods from Kyrgyzstan - by 54.3%, Russia - by 27.9%, Armenia - by 11.2% and Belarus - by 10.1%.
