EEC sets 5% imports customs duty on certain types of LED lamps

Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has set import customs duties of the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU CCT) at 5% for certain types of LED lamps used for household, industrial and street lighting. The measure is valid until December 31, 2025, according to the EEC press service. </p> <p> </p> <p> The decision is aimed at increasing the share of domestic goods in the domestic market and import substitution, as well as increasing the competitiveness of enterprises in the Eurasian Economic Union involved in the production of LED lamps, said EEC Department of Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation. </p> <p> </p> <p> The import duty is consistent with the task of creating the Eurasian LED technology platform, and attracting advanced technologies in the field of LED equipment production in the EEU.
