EEC holds first pre-market exchange trading in oil products
<p> MINSK, Jul 22 - PrimePress. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) together with the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange held the first simulated exchange trade sessions in oil products on July 21, 2021, the EEC press service reported. </p> <p> </p> <p> “This is a pilot project implemented in accordance with the programme and action plan to form the Union’s common oil and oil products markets, which were approved by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in December 2018 to create a technological framework for the functioning of common energy markets,” the EEC press service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> More than 60 transactions in gasoline and diesel fuel took place as a result of the bidding process. The bidding took place as part of the work to create common markets for oil and oil products in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia). </p> <p> </p> <p> Director of the EEC Energy Department Vadim Zakrevskiy said that the potential volume of exchange trade in oil products will be approximately 0.2-0.5m tonnes.
