EEC Council rules to develop technical standard for products with nicotine content

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has ruled to develop a technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) on nicotine-containing products. </p> <p> </p> <p> Assistant to EEC Board Chairman Iya Malkina made an announcement to this effect at a press-conference on March 5. </p> <p> </p> <p> “We are talking about nicotine-containing products, which are not classified as tobacco products. For example, cartridges for electronic cigarettes or vape, fillings, chewing and smearable products, which contain nicotine, including its more concentrated forms in the form of salts," Malkina explained. </p> <p> </p> <p> Armenia will act as the developer of the technical regulation. The results of the domestic approval will be submitted to the EEC in the fourth quarter of 2022. End </p>
