China’s Sywei may use Great Stone Park as platform for producing coronavirus vaccine

The administration and the Development Company of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone have discussed with the vaccine manufacturer, Shanghai Biotechnology Company Sywei, the possibility of organising production of a vaccine against coronavirus in the park, the park’s press service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The company’s new vaccine (Sywei), approved by China's National Administration of Medical Products, has already demonstrated high efficacy and safety. The company’s investment partner is China Merchants Group, a shareholder in the industrial park,” the press service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> At present, three vaccines are used to vaccinate the population against coronavirus in Belarus: the Russian combined vector vaccine Gam-KOVID-Vac (or Sputnik V), the Chinese vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 (another name Sinopharm), and Gam-KOVID-Vac vaccine produced by Belmedpreparaty RUE.
