BUCE export sales of steel products up 50% in Jan-Sep to $25m
<p> MINSK, Oct 20 - PrimePress. Belarus Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has increased export sales of metal products in by 1.5 times year on year January-September 2021 to $25 million, in physical terms by 27% to 27.1 thousand tons, according to the BUCE press service. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste and scrap accounted for about 75% of export transactions. Latvia became the largest buyer of Belarusian scrap metal with $10.1 million in transactions. Belarus metal was also sold to Canada, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Switzerland and the United States. </p> <p> </p> <p> Besides, in January-September, BUCE facilitated export sales of 8.7 thousand tons of steel fittings and rods of Belarusian Steel Works worth $6.2 million. The main buyers were Latvia and Poland. End </p>
