BPC raises 2021 contract price with India’s IPL by 7.4% to $247 per tonne of potash

Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) says it has increased the 2021 contract price with India’s IPL by 7.4% compared to the 2020 price to $247 per tonne of potash fertilizers. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, the previous contract to supply Belarusian potash to the Indian market was signed by BPC and IPL in May 2020 at $230 per tonne. In 2019, the price was $280 per tonne. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Belarusian Potash Company and its long-term strategic partner in India - IPL - successfully concluded the negotiations and signed a new annual contract to supply 800,000 tonnes of potash fertilizers to the Indian market at the price of $247 per tonne on CFR terms,” the BPC press service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Belarusian Potash Company and IPL understand the importance of such a contract for both the Indian and international potash markets. This is why they reached the agreement that will contribute to the stability of the global potash market and potentially higher prices in the future,” the press service added. </p> <p> </p> <p> Established in 2013, BPC acts as Belarus’ designated export trader of potash fertilizers produced by OAO Belaruskali. </p> <p> </p> <p> BPC shareholders are Belaruskali (Soligorsk, Minsk Oblast), Belarusian Railways and state enterprise Beleximgarant. In 2018, the BPC share in global exports of potash fertilizers amounted to 20.5%. The geography of BPC exports is almost 130 countries. End </p>
