BMZ seamless pipes export up 32% in Jan-Mar to 32,000 tonnes

Belarus Metal Company BMZ (Zhlobin, Gomel Oblast) increased exports of seamless pipes by 32% year on year in January-March 2021 to 32,000 tonnes, the company’s press service informed. </p> <p> </p> <p> In value terms, BMZ increased exports of seamless pipes in January-March 2021 by 19% year on year to $25m. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The key consumers of seamless pipes of Belarusian Metal Plant in January-March were the countries of the European Union and the Russian Federation, which accounted for 45% and 42% of total exports of these products, respectively. Thus about 15 thousand tons of pipes worth over $10 million was shipped to the EU market, which is nearly twice as much as last year. Products were shipped to ten countries in the European region. Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania and Finland showed the highest growth in consumption in the reporting period,” the report said. </p> <p> </p> <p> BMZ shipped over 13,000 tonnes of pipe products to Russia in Q1 2021 to the tune of $10 million, up 20% in value terms.
