Belorusneft’s Malanka e-charging network plans to launch super-fast charger pilot in 2022

MINSK, Apr 8 - PrimePress. Belorusneft’s network of electric charging stations Malanka plans to launch a pilot facility with superfast charging capacity of one station up to 350 kW in 2022, said Maksim Susarenko, head of charging infrastructure at Belorusneft.

“Manufacturers of electric vehicles around the world are now seeking to reduce the charging time. Tesla is abandoning fast EVs and installing super-fast charging stations with a capacity of 250kW, where an electric car can be recharged for 450km in just 20 minutes. Malanka also aims to meet the needs of drivers. In 2022 we plan to launch a pilot super-fast charging facility, with a capacity of up to 350 kW per station, which will allow an electric car to be recharged 340 km in 10 min. For now, many people are wary of electric vehicles precisely because of the long time it takes to charge them and the difficulty of finding a charging station within walking distance. The new charging stations will become a kind of gas station for electric cars, since the charging time at such facilities will be comparable to the time it takes to fill up a car with petrol. And with the development of electric transport, this time will be even shorter,” said Susarenko.

Now the Malanka network is installing 18 sets of six charging stations with a capacity of 50 kW each.
