Belorusneft plans to increase new oil reserves by 1.71m tonnes in 2020

The state-owned production association Belorusneft (Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast) plans to increase new oil reserves in 2020 to the point of 1.71 million tonnes, said the company’s press service. </p> <p> </p> <p> “In recent years, active development of reserves will fully compensate for their increase. It is expected that in 2020 it will amount to 1.71 million tonnes,” the report says. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft has already started the seismic field works in the Severo-Nadvinsk-Barsukovskaya area in Gomel OBlast, where it is planned to conduct 3D seismic surveys on the territory of 478 square kilometers during the year. “Geologists suppose the Severo-Nadvinsko-Barsukovskaya area may have significant oil reserves for commercial development.” </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belorusneft plans to increase oil production by 1.18% year on year in 2020 up to 1.71 million tonnes. In 2019, oil production increased by 1.19% yoy to 1.69 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in exploration work, oil extraction, gas processing and offers a wide range of seismic exploration operations. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft provides oil extraction service in Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Ecuador, facilitates crude supplies to Belarusian on refineries on a give-and-take basis.
