Belinvestbank pays for degassing station project at landfill near Minsk

Belinvestbank has financed the construction of a degassing station at the Trostenets landfill near Minsk, the bank’s press service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> The goals of the project are efficient extraction and utilization of gas, which is formed as a result of decomposition of buried organic waste. </p> <p> </p> <p> The degassing station will reduce the uncontrolled volume of greenhouse gas emissions and produce environmentally clean electric power. </p> <p> </p> <p> The launch of the degassing facility is due in December 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus’ Development and Reconstruction Bank – Belinvestbank - was incorporated on September 3, 2001 as a result of merging two banks together Belarusian Development Bank and Belarus Business Bank. The state share in the bank's authorised capital is 99.08%. Belinvestbank is the country’s Tier 1 bank. There are more than 110 branches of the bank in Belarus. Belinvestbank has been under US sanctions since 9 August 2021. End </p>
