Belarusian refineries report 41.6% decrease in oil processing in Jan-Mar 2020 to 2.76m tonnes

Belarusian oil refineries (Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC, Gomel Oblast; Naftan OJSC, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast) reduced oil refining in Jan-Mar 2020 by 41.6% year on year to 2.76 million tonnes, state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> As reported, Russia cut oil supplies to the Belarusian refineries in Jan-Mar 2020 by 77% yoy to 1.037 million tonnes. Of these, 252,500 thousand tonnes were delivered to the Mozyr Refinery in Jan-Mar 2020, the plan being 3.355 million tonnes, and Naftan received 784,400 tonnes against planned 3.439 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> In December 2019, Belarus and Russia agreed on 24 million tonnes for Belarus in 2020. Due to oil price disagreements in January-March 2020, the Belarusian refineries failed to enter into long-term supply contracts with Russian oil companies. End </p>
