Belarusian oil transit via Transneft system at 990,800 tonnes in Jan-Jul 2021

Belarusian oil transit through the Transneft pipeline system totalled 990,800 tonnes in January-July 2021, according to a report by the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Russian Federation. </p> <p> </p> <p> In July 2021 alone, 148,500 tons of oil was delivered through the Transneft system. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the Central Dispatching Department, 108.37 million tons of crude oil was shipped via Transneft to foreign states other than the CIS countries in Jan-Jul 2021, oil deliveries via other routes – 24.17m tons. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus exports its own oil to Germany via Transneft’s pipeline system. </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-July 2020, Belarus reduced its own oil exports by 1.32 times year on year to 507,000 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus suspended the export of its oil in January-March 2020, and redirected the entire volume the refineries (Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC, Gomel Oblast, and Naftan OJSC, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast), which had to only utilize 50% of their capacity since late 2019, as Minsk failed to enter into 2020 contracts with major Russian suppliers due to price disagreements. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus resumed the export of its crude oil in April 2020. Supplies totalled 50,000 tonnes against 130,000 tonnes on monthly average in 2019. End </p>
