The Belarusian government and local state administrations have been granted the right to approve an additional issue of shares in some open joint-stock companies (OJSCs), in accordance with presidential decree #4 of 22 July 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The functions of the head of state to approve the issuance of additional shares created in the process of privatization of open joint stock companies, which process agricultural products, whose shares are owned by the Republic of Belarus, shall be transferred to the government, if they are owned by administrative-territorial units - to regional executive committees and Minsk City Executive Committee,” the president’s press service said.
