Belarus’ truck export up 25.2% in Jan 2021 to 2,902 vehicles
<p> MINSK, Mar 16 – PrimePress. Belarus increased the export of trucks and truck tractors by 25.2% year on year in January 2021 to 2,902 vehicles, Belstat said in a statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, the export grew by 41.7% to $39.524 million. Belarus shipped 1,795 vehicles to the Russian Federation (down 7% yoy) worth $22.297 million (up 13.5%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of trucks increased by 17.4% to 385 vehicles. In monetary terms, the export increased by 11.5% to $58.312 million. Russia accounted for 234 vehicles (up 35.3%) worth $42.692 million (up 24.8%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of off-road dump trucks grew by 29% to 40 vehicles. In monetary terms, it was up by 70.6% to $36.672 million. Russia accounted for 35 vehicles (up 3.2 times) worth $106.23 million (up 3.2 times). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of passenger cars increased by 51.5% to 2,640 vehicles. In monetary terms, the export grew by 20.2% to $11.483 million. Belarus shipped 2,596 vehicles to Russia (up 49.5%) worth $10.175 million (up 15.2%). </p> <p> </p> <p> In January 2021, Belarus exported 83 vehicles with 10 or more seats (up 12.2%) to the tune of $9.417 million (up 8.9%).
