Belarus’ truck export up 14.7% in Jan-Mar 2021 to 13,988 vehicles
<p> MINSK, May 13 – PrimePress. Belarus increased exports of trucks and truck tractors by 14.7% year on year in January-March 2021 to 13,988 vehicles, Belstat said in a statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, exports of tractors and prime movers grew by 26.4% to $174.029 million. Belarus shipped 8,280 vehicles to the Russian Federation (down 6.6% yoy) worth $85.408 million (up 1.3%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Truck export increased by 16.5% to 1,525 vehicles. In monetary terms, truck export increased by 30.9% to $213.946 million. Russia accounted for 1,059 vehicles (up 51.2%) worth $181.071 million (up 66.3%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Exports of off-road dump trucks grew by 51.9% to 158 vehicles. In monetary terms, it was a 91.2% increase to $132.453 million. Russia accounted for 142 vehicles (up 3.2 times) worth $114.498 million (up 4.2 times). </p> <p> </p> <p> Passenger car export increased by 32.7% to 10,252 vehicles. In monetary terms, exports grew by 40.5% to $65.499 million. Belarus shipped 10,081 vehicles to Russia (up 31%) worth $59.846 million (up 34.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-March 2021, Belarus exported 224 vehicles with 10 or more seats (down 14.5%) to the tune of $22.867 million (down 19.2%).
