Belarus’ tractors admitted to public procurement in Russia
<p> MINSK, Feb 9 - PrimePress. Products of the Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) OJSC was put on the Register of Eurasian Industrial Products on February 8, 2021, which means the admission to public procurement in the Russian Federation, the MTZ reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> The products will be on the Register until July 1, 2021. This concerns 68 models and modifications of BELARUS tractors with an engine capacity of 80 to 355 hp, says Mikhail Vardugin, MTZ Deputy Marketing Director for the CIS markets, who is in charge of product promotion and sales in the CIS. </p> <p> </p> <p> Products of Belarusian Amkodor-KEZ (Vitebsk Oblast), Gomselmash, Lakokraska (Grodno Oblast, some items have been on the register since December 11, 2020) were put on the Register in January 2021 until July 1, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Products of Belshina OJSC (Bobruisk, Mogilev Oblast) and Grodno Trade Mechanical Engineering Plant OJSC were admitted to public procurement in Russia until July 1, 2021. The register also includes such state-owned enterprises, as the Newsprint Paper Mill (Shklov, Mogilev Oblast), Orsha Flax Mill (Vitebsk Oblast), Lenta (Mogilev), Amkodor (Minsk), Kamvol (Minsk), Sukno (Minsk), Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (MZKT), and Minsk Automobile Plant–Managing Company of Belavtomaz Holding (Minsk). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Russian government’s resolution No.16 of April 30, 2020 banned the admission of industrial goods that originate from foreign countries (except for the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union) to public and municipal procurement and for defense and security purposes in Russia since July 1, 2020. To gain access to procurement in Russia, commodity data must be entered in the registers of industrial products manufactured in Russia or in member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. </p> <p> </p> <p> Products of some Belarusian enterprises were put on the Register of Eurasian Industrial Products in August 2020 until December 31, 2020 and then until July 1, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> MTZ was founded in 1946 and transformed into an open joint stock company owned by the state in January 2014; transformed into MTZ-Holding in August 2014. The Holding unites MTZ OJSC; Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Assemblies; Vitebsk Plant of Tractor Spare Parts; Minsk Plant of Special Tools and Technological Equipment; Minsk Gear Plant; Mozyr Machine-Building Plant; Narovlya Hydro-Equipment Plant; Khoyniki Hydro-Equipment Plant; Lepel Mechanical Repair Plant; Lepel Electromechanical Plant.
