Belarus to introduce single information system for timber turnover registration in six months
<p> MINSK, Feb 19 - PrimePress. In six months harvesting, transportation and sale of timber in Belarus will be registered in a unified state automated information system (EGAIS). This decision is fixed by presidential ordinance #50 of February 18, published on the National Legal Internet Portal on February 19. </p> <p> </p> <p> The ordinance prohibits transportation and sale of timber by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, as well as the removal of timber of harvested by individuals on forest land, if the timber is not registered in the EGAIS. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Ministry of Forestry is the owner of the UGAIS, is authorized to designate the system operator and coordinates the operator’s work.
