Belarus to apply customs duties for some types of timber exported outside EEU from 16 August - Forestry Ministry

Customs duties for certain timber and wood products exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) will start to apply in Belarus on August 16, 2021,the press service of the Ministry of Forestry of Belarus said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, presidential ordinance #305 of August 5, 2021 established rates of customs duties on timber and wood products exported from the territory of Belarus outside the customs territory of the EEU. The size of the rates for the period until December 31, 2021 is €100 per 1 cubic meter or 2%, 5% and 6.5% of the customs value - depending on the type of products. On January 1, 2022, the rate will be set by the government of Belarus. End </p>
