Belarus’ sugar export down 72.9% in Jan-Jun 2021 to 71,600 tonnes

Belarus decreased sugar export by 72.9% year on year in Jan-Jun 2021 to 71,600 tonnes, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, sugar export reduced by 50.9% yoy in Jan-Jun 2021 to $38.823 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus supplied 70,200 tonnes of sugar to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) (down 70.3% y/y) worth $38.143 million (down 45.9%). Russia accounted for 50,600 tonnes (down 56.5%) worth $27.586 million (down 20%), Kazakhstan – 11,838 tonnes (down 80.3%) worth $6.124m (down 65.5%). </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus exported sugar in Jan-Jun 2021 at an average price of $542.433 per tonne, up 81.6% y/y.
