Belarus sets new electricity tariffs from 21 October

New electricity tariffs will be introduced in Belarus on 21 October 2021, in accordance with the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus’ resolution #69 of 14 October 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> The document sets tariffs for services: </p> <p> </p> <p> - for operational dispatch management in the electricity sector provided on the national level by Belenergo SPA to the regional hubs - Brestenergo, Vitebskenergo, Gomelenergo, Grodnoenergo, Minskenergo, the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant - Br74.22 ($30.44 at the rate of exchange of the National Bank of Belarus) per 1 MW; </p> <p> </p> <p> - for operational dispatch management in the electricity sector provided on the regional level to owners of power units connected directly or indirectly to the regional power grids - Br96.84 ($39.72; $1/Br2.4377) per 1 MW; </p> <p> </p> <p> - cross-region transmission and distribution of electric power generated by block plants in the power networks provided to owners of block plants with installed capacity of 25 MW and more for transmission and distribution of electric power produced by these block plants, their separate subdivisions, other structural subdivisions and (or) power supply facilities of block plant owners - Br0.1377 ($0.056) per 1kWh; </p> <p> </p> <p> - for distribution of electricity produced by a block-station through the electricity network within one region, provided to housing and utilities organizations, which are owners of block-stations, to ensure the sale of electricity produced by these block-stations in excess of the volumes required for the energy supply of their owners’ economic activities to consumers, which are housing and utilities organizations - Br0.12 ($0.049) per 1 kWh.
