Belarus’ real sector keeps high expectations of consumer price growth in the next three months, says the analysis of the findings of the March 2021 edition of the Business Environment survey posted on the website of the National Bank of Belarus (NBB). </p> <p> </p> <p> As it follows from the survey, the index of expected price growth at a faster pace than at present has not changed in comparison with the previous month and amounts to 35.8% against 35.7% in February and 38.4% in January 2021. In general, about 80% of respondents expect a price increase in the next three months. According to the survey, the slowdown index was 11.3%, compared to 11.2% in February and 8.8% in January. </p> <p> </p> <p> The expected changes in the volume of production (work performed, sales, transport services) are in the positive field in all the sectors, i.e. the number of those who expect an increase is greater than those who forecast a decline - it was 20.3% against 13.1% in February and minus 6.1% in January. </p> <p> </p> <p> Overall, the economic situation assessed by the survey participants has been in an unfavourable area since December 2020.
