Belarus raises average per capita subsistence budget by 3.73% to Br283.46 1 Aug 2021

The average per capita subsistence budget in Belarus for the period from Aug 1 to Oct 31, 2021 will increase by 3.73% to Br283.46 ($112.41 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), as per the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus’ resolution No.56 of July 23, 2021 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal. </p> <p> </p> <p> The subsistence budget for the working-age population will increase by 3.8% to Br315.04 ($124.94); pensioners – 3.8% to Br214.91 ($85.23); children under the age of three – 2.3% to Br178.56 ($70.81); children aged three to six – 2.8% to Br247.95 ($98.33); children aged six to 18 – 3.25% to Br303.79 ($120.47). </p> <p> </p> <p> Wage premiums and allowances of the social protection system and some welfare payments based on the size of the subsistence budget will automatically increase accordingly. This applies to welfare payments to families with children, social pensions, extra payments to pensioners aged 75 and over, allowances for care of persons assigned to the 1st disability group, persons who have attained 80 years of age, and allowances and pensions for some categories of pensioners.
