Belarus’ producer prices up 1.4% in Feb 2021, up 2.8% in Jan-Feb 2021

Belarusian producer prices rose by 1.4% month on month in Feb 2021 and by 2.8% in Jan-Feb 2021, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> Prices of producer goods increased in Feb 2020 by 0.9% month on month and by 1.8% since early 2021; intermediate goods – up 1.5%, up 3.3%, respectively; consumer goods – up 1.5%, up 2%, respectively. </p> <p> </p> <p> Agricultural producer prices increased in Feb 2021 by 2.7% month on month, up 4.5% since early 2021; crop prices – up 8.6% month on month, up 11.8% since early 2021; livestock prices – up 1.1%, up 2.5%, respectively. </p> <p> </p> <p> Construction prices decreased by 6.6% month on month in Feb 2021, down 3.1% from the Dec 2020 level. Prices of construction and installation works decreased by 7.9% and 3.8%, respectively; prices of machinery and equipment increased by 0.1% and decreased by 2.2%, respectively; prices of other works and expenses decreased by 23.5% and 7.8%, respectively. </p> <p> </p> <p> Freight tariffs (all means of transportation) increased by 5.1% month on month in Feb 2021, up 4.3% from the level of Dec 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Telecom tariffs for entities and private entrepreneurs remained unchanged month on month in Feb 2021 and grew by 0.1% in Jan-Feb 2021.
