Belarus plans to build about 1,000km of gas pipelines in 2021-2025

Belarus plans to build about 1,000 km of gas pipelines within the framework of a comprehensive modernization of the country’s gas industry in 2021-2025, the telegram channel of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus reports citing Beltopgaz CEO Alexei Kushnarenko. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, all 115 towns, 118 district centres and 3.467 thousand rural settlements in Belarus are gasified with natural gas. The total length of gas networks is about 64,000 km. Natural gas is consumed by about 3 thousand industrial and 6 thousand municipal utility enterprises. </p> <p> </p> <p> Also, in 2021-2025, Belarus plans to replace 900 gas regulating stations, and 40 thousand km of gas networks will be inspected for further use. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Kushnarenko, Beltopgaz will pay much attention to dispatching, automation, telemetry systems and digitalization.
