Belarus’ overdue corporate debt to foreign cos up 0.8% in Q1 2021 to Br1.026bn

<p> MINSK, Jun 3 – PrimePress. The overdue debt of Belarusian enterprises to foreign companies increased by 0.8% year to date in Q1 2021 to U.S. Br1.026 billion ($404.2m) as of Apr 1, 2021, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p>   </p> <p> The overdue debt to Russian companies was up 9.1% in 2020 to Br302.1 million ($119m); debts to non-Russian enterprises within the CIS – up 6.5% to Br359.3 million ($141.6m). </p> <p>   </p> <p> The overdue debt to foreign countries other than the CIS states increased in Q1 2021 by 8.9% to Br666.7m ($262.66 million). </p> <p>   </p> <p> Foreign companies’ overdue debt to Belarusian enterprises was down 4.4% in Q1 2021 to Br854.7m ($336.72 million) as of Apr 1, 2021. </p> <p>   </p> <p> Russian companies’ overdue debt to Belarusian enterprises increased by 5.4% to $299.9 million as of Apr 1, 2021. The overdue debt of non-Russian enterprises in the CIS was down 9.3% to Br356 million ($140.25m). </p> <p>   </p> <p> The overdue debt of companies of foreign countries other than the CIS states to Belarusian enterprises totalled Br498.7m ($196.47 million) as of Apr 1, 2021, up 6.9% year to date. </p> <p>   </p> <p> Belarus’ overdue external corporate debt was 20% bigger than foreign companies’ liabilities to this country as of Apr 1, 2021.
