Belarus oil refineries’ petrol output down 35.3% in Jan-Mar 2020 to 567,700 tonnes

Belarusian oil refineries (Naftan, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast, and Mozyr Oil Refinery, Gomel Oblast) produced 567,700 tonnes of petrol in Jan-Mar 2020, down 35.3% year on year, Belstat told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> In March 2020, Belarusian refineries produced 169,700 tonnes of petrol, down 40.1% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> There were no petrol inventories as of Apr 1, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> As reported, the Belarusian refineries did not utilize a large part of their capacities in January-March 2020 in the absence of long-term contracts with Russia’s main oil suppliers. The refineries processed a total of about 2.8 million tonnes of oil instead of the planned 5.9 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2019, the refineries reduced petrol output by 14.6% year on year to 2.989 million tonnes.
