Belarus oil refineries’ diesel fuel output down 44.5% in Jan-Mar 2020 to 971,700 tonnes

Belarusian oil refineries (Naftan, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast, and Mozyr Oil Refinery, Gomel Oblast) reduced diesel fuel output (including biodiesel) in January-March 2020 by 44.5% year on year to 971,700 tonnes, Belstat told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> In March 2020, the refineries reduced diesel fuel output by 51.3% year on year to 331,000 tons. </p> <p> </p> <p> As reported, the Belarusian refineries did not utilize a large part of their capacities in January-March 2020 in the absence of long-term contracts with Russia’s main oil suppliers. The refineries processed a total of about 2.8 million tonnes of oil instead of the planned 5.9 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2019, the refineries increased diesel fuel output (including biodiesel) by 2.1% year on year to 6.739 million tonnes.
