Belarus’ oil products export up 2.85 times in Jan 2021 to 873,000 tonnes

Belarus reduced the export of oil products by 2.85 times year on year in Jan 2021 to 873,000 tonnes, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat) reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In value terms, the export increased by 79.3% yoy in Jan 2021 to $311.813 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average export price of Belarusian oil products in Jan 2021 stood at $357.169 per tonne, down 37.2% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus reduced the export of oil products in 2020 by 19.4% year on year to 8.487 million tonnes. In value terms, the export decreased in 2020 by 47.2% y/y to $2.747 billion. The average export price of Belarusian oil products in 2020 stood at $323.768 per tonne, down 34.5% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> The decrease in revenues was primarily due to the decline in the physical volumes of oil products export, as Belarus had no long-term contracts with traditional Russian oil suppliers in January-March 2020.
